High Hopes 02:37
There sits a beautiful house in the heart of a quiet town, But no one lives there now. The previous family was rifled down. High hopes rest on 112 ocean avenue. The American dream, so bitter sweet. It was but a dream. Now turned to nightmare, and ripped us from the comfort of our sheets. Something unearthly dwells inside, A place we’re only evil resides. This place is far from a home, It’s where the dark spirits roam. This place is far from a home. Don’t stay at 112 Ocean Avenue.

Can you feel it? Something diabolical plagues this house. Like the smell of death wraps a corpse as decay feeds on the flesh. Something about this place is haunting me. Something about this place is far from holy. That's why they called so I could cleanse thy. I won't leave until the spirits are set free. Ugh! Our father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Slowly creeping forward into the sewing room, Faith in God will keep me safe from this. From this prison that you are entombed to. As the walls tremble and floor boards shake, the room screams and the windows break. get out while you still can.

Paracusia 02:11
Catch them, kill them. It all started so fast. Once I started, I just couldn't stop! It all started so fast. Once I started, I just couldn't stop! All this fucking madness! I'm not sick! I'm so sick! This is my justice, this is my vengeance. Who am I to question such a sweet symphony? After all I am just deaths emissary! Dancing in the moonlight, as the shells leave my trail. Who knows what surprises, by the daylight, will be unveiled! Oh mother, oh father. You've pushed me to the edge. Oh sister, oh brothers, You're lying in your deathbeds. The voices spoke to me in whispers, but could shake the trees! The voices screeched like the thunder, but no one heard a scream! Shoot them! Shoot them in the back of their head, leave your loved ones soaked in blood, face down in their beds. Killed them! I can't feel remorse now they're dead, left my loved ones soaked in blood, without regret on my hands.

Lullaby 03:37
Three fifteen, Another night waking up from a violent dream. The house is quiet but I could have sworn I heard a scream. Another night goes by I can't fucking sleep, Voices in the air won’t let me be. Shotgun accomplice to sing the children to sleep. Flashes of light cut through the night, Feeds a murderous appetite. Oh my god! What have i done? The sickness is beckoning me, to murder my family. I feel incomplete. Frantic paces in the hallway, You must come up with a story. Sole survivor of a slaughter, Throw the gun in the water. Make sure all your tracks are covered. Make believe you only discovered. Make sure all your tracks are covered. Make believe you only discovered, your deceased family in the sheets.

about

Awakening is a concept EP based on the story of The Amityville Horror.

Each song on the EP is an interpretation of a different aspect of the story.

“High Hopes” is about the house in which the murders took place in and then sheds light on the story behind it.

“Hospes An Ingratum” is from the perspective of the Priest that attempts to exercise the house after Kathy Lutz cries for his help after realizing there is something unearthly about the house.

“Paracusia” and “Lullaby” are from the perspective of Ronald Defeo, the young man who murdered his parents and four siblings in their sleep, because of the voices he claimed to hear in his head.
